I think it's about time I do another blog post... wouldn't you say??  Well it's nothing big, but it's a start, so here you have it:

as of late, i've found myself having trouble falling asleep.  well maybe this isn't such a new thing for me, however, the reasoning for this has changed quite a bit.  i lay there thinking about ideas, definition, lines, shapes and colors....endlessly.  i wonder what defines me?  or maybe not me so much,...but my style?  and how one chooses a "style."  and how a style defines someone, whether it be intentional or unintentional?  i mean this in both a material and non material sort of way.   hmmm.   i wonder ...  i ponder... and i like where this is going.  i really like it.  and i like when i have trouble falling asleep for this reason.   it brings me a different kind of energy when i wake.  an excited and giddy sort of energy.

i did it!

craftings

 

last week was craft week....

i was back home from vaca and all by my lonesome at the shop

since br was gone, i had to find some way to entertain myself

 so i did this...

 i made 40 of these...

which may not seem like much, but holy cow... it took a lot more time than i was expecting.

 i dipped old invoice, scrap paper and catalogs in coffee

let them dry

cut them up into various petal shapes

hot glued them

and walla!

 a window filled with paper flowers!

since i had to drench around 250 pieces of paper with coffee

i had a little bit of waiting time in between.

while i was waiting, i had a spray paint party

 i painted lots of letters...

 and a frame.

after i painted the frame,

i screwed in 10 loops to the back side of the frame

then added wire across...

to make a sunglass display

{i've been wanting to do this project for a while and realized i finally had all the materials to do so!}

 so there you have it.... my first productive week of the year! go me!

and unto us, an ashley was uncovered...

 and boy, oh boy was she!

we started my visit proper, with none other than a photo booth session for one and all....

and then.

i got sick...

luckily, i was feeling mostly back to normal for sweet abby's birthday!

 birthday girl got to go on a birthday date with one of her besties! 

...

in the mean time, the gang and i went to adventure downtown.

 after downtown exploring came to an end,

kaylo, momma and i began craft project numero uno!

 {unfortunately i didn't take a before picture :(}

 apparently spray paint isn't handled well in the munson home... two bloody noses at one time!

and a sweet, tired pup.

 FINALLY, i get my very own birthday date, with the sweetest Abby of all!  Not always do we get to have these sort of dates, and when we do, they must be extra special!  Abby made out like a bandit, I made sure of it. 

 Craft project numero uno finished!!! 

 AND THEN we found ourselves celebrating birthday number TWO!

birthday boy. birthday boy. he's a he's a birthday boy.  birthday boy. birthday boy. birthday boy! birthday boy gets celebratory jack-in-the-box at midnight.... as every birthday boy should.

 

then birthday boy got to go to rockies diner, where they serve you on rollerskates!!!   {every birthday boy's dream}

 strawberry peanut butter shake... how did i not think of it first??? can you say todiefor?

 baby brobrobear in the finest of brobrobear form for the birthday boy!

 birthday boy. birthday boy. birthday boy. birthday cake. birthday boy.  birthday boy.  birthday boy!

 how now brown cow?  that's what i asked them.

good ol' boise.  best of all winters yet.
