my milkshake

today i downloaded exactly 9 hours of holiday tunes.  can you believe it?  that's so unlike me, i know... it turned into one of those obsessive sort of things... once i started i couldn't stop and it was crazy but thank the good L it's done with and now we have 9 solid hours of xmas tunes.

also, today i had the greasiest hair of the year... and i wore it alll. dayyy. lonnggg.  so why don't you just keep those pretty little opinions to yourself and just let me be a grease ball, mmkay?

and did you know that my family is now about heytell? and that we heytell each other like there is no tomorrow  and if you were anything other than a munson, it's very likely you would not understand one bit of what we are saying to each other?  we are that inside of our inside jokes, that's how cool we are.

do you feel mysterious

if only all holiday music were like this....

TG

so one day this new ginger girl received a phone call saying her sweeter
than pie little bro wanted to bring her home for thanksgiving.
and as any new ginger girl would... she said "ok"
so she came and went, all in 5 days, but as expected... not a moment of those 5 days went to waste.
we had early morning hellos, church
and of course, family taco night
we had late night treat picking at the one and only
winco
we had crazy pose/face making competitions

 outfit comptetitions

 sissy love

 bro time

 nail time

 gym time

 and surprise!

we went to shoshone falls at 9 in the am

it was way more beautiful and spectacular than i remembered.

shoshone is best in the fall.

you can take my word for it...

 see!

so dad got his bling on
aaron got his sleep on then spit his gum on himself
and we mini road tripped back home
then we went to a real.life.horror.film. called the three musketeers
and we at carmel corn, as anyone would... at a $3 movie
 and we sammiched all night
 and caught up on twilight
lastly we thanksgivinged like there was never another...
we at mashed potaters, roasted veggies, pies, pies and moooore pies,
we played dance central like there was no tomorrow
and then i was gone.
it was good, it was great and i can't WAIT till christmas....

dear dad

dear dad,
you sent me an article this morning about how a father should go about raising their daughters...  and while i was reading it, i discovered even more, how truly lucky i am to have had you as my dad.
do you realize that you have always loved our mother and your marriage.  you have proven to us how much you love her in the way that you show respect towards her, tenderness, loyalty, compassion and devotion... and because of this, i do value my womanhood and feel like i deserve and should be treated the same.
do you realize that as much as popular culture has tried to make this seem unimportant,  you have always maintained the role as the patriarch in our family-- you have protected, defended, rejected unnecessary material things, shown that your family truly is what matters in life and lead the way, through example, as our father and head of our household.  as much as popular culture has tried to make me believe otherwise, i see the importance of this and respect and appreciate how hard you have worked to help us, your children, see this.
do you realize that you have always shown us the importance of virtue, morality and why it is so important to keep our bodies free of toxins and things that may alter who we are, or take away from who we can be.
do you realize you have always been aware of the things you have brought into our home... and although at times i have seen it as "annoying," i  now understand, why it was important to you that we did not watch or listen to things that weigh heavy on our mind and soul.
do you realize that you have always been present in all of our lives... and shown us by literally being there when we have needed you, by lifting us up, by expecting us to be kind, by expecting us to be good, by expecting us to think about each other and others, by showing us the importance of modesty, by expecting us to be more than we think we can be, by always believing in us, by wanting us to be successful in anything we do and by supporting us through anything and everything... but most of all by being there, always, without fail.
do you realize you have done everything you could as a father, you have stood for things you know are worth fighting for, when i was a teenager you waited for me to come home,  you checked up on me when you didn't feel right about things... you talked to us, you sang with us, you laughed with us, you had fun with us and showed us how to have fun just by being together.
dad, do you realize you have done everything a father could do for your children?  and do you realize as hard as things can be and at times, as much as it can seem otherwise... that we will always and eternally be grateful for being placed in your arms and having you as our father?
there are very few fathers out there that can say they did and continue to do all of these things and i am so proud to have a father that is one of those few. :)
i love you.

pink mountains on a blue sky

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  how does one like me get blessed with things such as bests?  the kind of bests that are always there, even when they physically are not, but you just know that they are always there in their hearts.  do you know what kind i mean?  the kind of best that truly is the kindest of bests and every single person that meets her thinks the same.  the kind of bests that truly are incredibly beautiful both inside and out, even if they were to try their very hardest not to be, they just couldn't not be because they really are that beautiful.  the kind of best that always knows what's going on even without having to ask and somehow connects with you in a way that seems almost impossible.  the kind of best that is mine and always will be no matter what... and how does a terrible girl like me get sooo lucky to have this kind of person as a best?  i sure don't know, but i sure feel special and i will be eternally grateful to the person who placed her in my path. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

a little respect

did you know that i love, love, love this song? i heard it the other day on my pandora station and it reminded me of the times when jeffy lived with us and one of my very favorite things about that time.  jeffy and my dad would be cleaning up the house, turn the music up as loud as we all could handle it and sing their stinking guts out.  i always felt so lucky to have the coolest uncle and dad around.  and guess what?  i still do.
